Alonso Consulting was approached by a customer who was having trouble with a VPN connection to a remote office. After testing and checking hardware on their network, we determined that the remote VPN router was failing intermittently. We instructed the client to purchase a Cisco RVS 4000 router. We then guided the customer through very basic setup via a telephone call. That basic configuration allowed us to remote access the Cisco and reconfigure the VPN tunnel. Since then, the customer's office have been connected without a single moment of down time.
